LAHORE: Pakistan’s premier strength athlete Nooh Dastagir Butt dedicated his recent double gold-medal haul in Uzbekistan to his parents and vowed to press on toward Olympic success after triumphs in Khiva and Tashkent.
The Commonwealth champion added two more international titles to his record at the International World Strongman Competitions, reinforcing his status as one of Pakistan’s most accomplished weightlifters and power-lifters.
Nooh claimed the first gold in Khiva before following up with a second title in Tashkent, performances he described as the product of family sacrifice and steadfast support. “After Allah Almighty, my parents have been my greatest source of strength and support,” he said, thanking them for standing by him through the toughest phases of his career. “Their constant motivation gives me additional energy and determination to perform for my country, my people and my family.”
He also paid tribute to his mentor and sponsor, Rizwan Aftab Ahmad, CEO of ACTIVIT and Director of National Hospital, crediting him with providing the financial backing and guidance that have helped shape Nooh’s professional development. “I am highly grateful to Rizwan Aftab Ahmad for his great support and commitment. His guidance and assistance have transformed me into a better athlete and a more focused professional,” Nooh said.
