Illegal sale of medicines: Accused gets six years jail, over Rs30m fine

LAHORE : The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone has achieved a major success in a case handled by its Anti-Corruption Circle Lahore. Accused Syed Amjad Ali Zaidi was found guilty of illegally selling medicines. The Drug Court Lahore awarded him six years of imprisonment along with a fine of Rs30.2 million in case No 11/25.

According to officials, the conviction was secured due to strong investigation by the FIA and effective prosecution by its legal team. The court accepted the evidence presented by the agency and announced the sentence.

Director FIA Lahore, M Ali Zia, stated that the agency continues to implement a zero-tolerance policy against crime.
