KARACHI: The Pakistan Single Window (PSW) has been declared one of the three winners of the Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Innovation Awards 2026, marking a milestone for the country’s digital trade transformation, the company announced on Friday.
The award was presented during Paperless Trade Week 2026 in Bangkok, a forum jointly organised by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the United Nations ESCAP under the theme ‘Next Generation Trade Digitalization - Advancing Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation’.
Syed Aftab Haider, chief executive officer of PSW, received the award on behalf of the organisation and Pakistan.The PSW was recognised for the design, development, and implementation of its Integrated Risk Management System (IRMS), which automates border clearance by evaluating trade declarations against regulatory rules, risk-scoring models, and AI-driven analytics. The system assigns consignments to appropriate clearance channels without manual intervention, allowing low-risk trade to proceed swiftly while directing enforcement resources towards high-risk consignments.
