Rawalpindi:A local businessman was injured late at night after two armed motorcyclists opened fire on him in the Jinnah Colony area on Tipu Road, within the jurisdiction of the Waris Khan Police Station.
The incident has intensified growing concerns among the residents over a rising trend of armed intimidation and unchecked aerial firing in the locality. According to police sources, the suspects, identified as Umar Jadoon and Abdullah Jadoon, arrived at the residence of the businessman Imad Ali at approximately 3am.
The attackers allegedly called Imad out of his home, and following a brief verbal altercation, drew a pistol and opened fire, wounding him. The assailants then fled the scene while firing indiscriminately into the air. Imad was subsequently rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment, and law enforcement personnel have initiated an investigation.
