Taxes, inflation and increasing living expenses have placed tremendous financial pressure on ordinary salaried citizens. Although recent budget measures have offered limited relief to certain income groups, many middle-income families continue to struggle with the rising cost of food, fuel, electricity, education and healthcare. At the same time, many citizens feel that the tax burden is not distributed fairly across all sectors of the economy. As prices continue to rise, families are finding it increasingly difficult to save money, invest in their children’s future or maintain a reasonable standard of living. The government should broaden the tax base and improve tax collection from all sectors, reduce unnecessary expenditures and ensure transparency in the use of public funds.
