I am writing to highlight a serious loadshedding problem in Green Park City, Karachi during these intense summer months. There are two main reasons for this problem. The K-Electric/electricity providers have increased the duration of power cuts, leaving very little time with proper electricity supply during the hottest hours of the day. On top of this, there is no fixed or pre-announced schedule for these outages, completely disrupting online university classes, assignment submissions and basic household chores. Together, these issues cause immense mental stress and physical discomfort every day.
To fix this, electricity management should stop unannounced power cuts and provide a clear, predictable schedule for loadshedding instead. Proper maintenance of local transformers and grids should also be carried out to prevent frequent technical faults and authorities should encourage the transition to renewable energy sources like solar power to reduce the burden on the main grid as soon as possible. This situation is getting worse day by day. I request the concerned authorities to look into this matter seriously and take quick action for the ease of the public.
