LAHORE:Chairperson of the Chief Minister Punjab’s Complaints Cell Saima Farooq held an open court in Bahawalpur on Friday, where she listened to public grievances and issued directives for their immediate resolution.
Most complaints related to the Revenue, Police, Health, Education, Sanitation and Sewerage departments. Addressing the gathering, Saima said public relief was being ensured in line with the vision of the Punjab Chief Minister.
She emphasised that all applications would be closely monitored until their resolution and described open courts as an effective mechanism for the prompt redressal of public complaints.
Some 328 people filed their cases. Bahawalpur Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Syed Hassan Raza, District Police Officer (DPO) and other relevant officials attended the event. Directions were issued for immediate action on all complaints received during the proceedings.
Saima warned that negligence in addressing public grievances would not be tolerated and said regular monitoring would ensure tangible relief for citizens.Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia assured participants that all complaints would be processed transparently, while Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza said timelines had been assigned to the concerned officers for resolving the issues raised during the open court. The event concluded with measures aimed at ensuring the swift resolution of citizens’ complaints and improving public service delivery.
