PSG to kick off new Ligue 1 season at home to Rennes

Paris: Paris Saint-Germain will begin the defence of their Ligue 1 title at home against Rennes in August, the professional football league (LFP) announced Wednesday.

PSG take on archrivals Marseille on the fifth weekend of action of France football´s elite division, on September 20. French Cup winners Lens, who finished second behind PSG last season, kick off the 2026/27 season at home to Auxerre on the opening weekend of August 21-23. The last big head-to-head of the season pitches PSG at home against Lyon on May 9, a week before the French Cup final. The season will wrap up on May 29, 2027.
