Shehbaz’s Rs10bn defamation case: SC decision on Imran’s review petition tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court will announce on June 11 its verdict in review petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan against its order, upholding Lahore High Court order, striking off his right of defence in Rs10 billion defamation case filed by PM Shehbaz Sharif. The defamation case is currently pending in a trial court in Lahore over allegations of making false accusations. A three-member bench, headed by Justice Ayesha A Malik and comprising Justice Hashim Khan Kakar and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, had reserved the decision on April 8 after completing the hearing.

According to the Supplementary Cause List issued by the SC, the bench will announce the reserved verdict at 12:00 pm tomorrow.
