MANSEHRA: Police have arrested three suspects for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy and recording a video to blackmail him in the Sum Allai Mung area of Siran Valley, officials said on Tuesday.
“A total of 18 suspects have been booked in the case. According to initial investigations, five of them allegedly kidnapped and assaulted the teenager before recording an obscene video to blackmail him and prevent him from reporting the incident to his parents or the police,” a press release issued by the police department’s public relations wing said.
The father of the victim lodged the FIR with police in Shinkiari, stating that gangsters had kidnapped his son earlier this month when he had gone to visit his maternal aunt’s house.“They confined my son in a room all day and repeatedly assaulted and made his obscene video and freed him to move home, threatening him with life if he disclosed the act to his family or someone else,” he added.
The father of the victim added that since then, around 18 of the accused assaulted his son while blackmailing him to upload his video on the social media platforms.“My son used to remain away from home and when we asked him the reasons, he narrated his entire ordeal,” he maintained.
The police department, after lodging the FIR under sections 376/34 of Ppc and section 53 of the Child Protection Act, raided at different points and arrested three of the accused.The press release said that raids were underway for the arrest of the remaining accused.
