EOBI pensioners have been under tremendous stress for a long time as their concerns have been neglected by the government. Most private-sector employees retire without any benefits despite heavy tax deductions throughout their career.
This is simply unjust. Such retirees totally rely on EOBI pensions, which are currently quite meagre. The government is kindly requested to raise EOBI pensions to Rs40,000 per month in the next budget.
