Goods worth millions of rupees were reduced to ashes in separate fire incidents reported in different parts of the city, officials said. According to details, a fire broke out in a warehouse near Bismillah Chowk in Gulshan Ghazi, Baldia Town.

Fire brigade personnel, assisted by rescue teams, managed to bring the blaze under control after nearly one hour of firefighting efforts. A spokesperson for the fire brigade said the fire erupted in a warehouse storing used clothing.

Authorities stated that information about the incident was reported late, allowing the flames to spread. As a result, almost all bales of used clothing and other goods stored in the warehouse were destroyed. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

In another incident, a fire broke out in a building adjacent to a timber warehouse near Mubarak Mosque in the Grass Market area of Ranchore Line. Firefighters responded promptly and extinguished the blaze after about 30 minutes of efforts.

According to the fire brigade spokesperson, the fire started in garbage accumulated in the building’s duct and later spread to a nearby house. Household belongings were destroyed in the incident; however, no loss of life was reported. The cause of the fire could not immediately be determined.
