LAHORE:Officers and personnel of Punjab Police performed security duties while remaining on high alert during Christian worship and prayer services held in churches across the province, including Lahore.

Earlier, Inspector General Police Punjab Abdul Kareem issued orders to RPOs, DPOs, and senior police officers to enhance the security of churches. He said that supervisory officers should personally check the security arrangements of churches, important places, and sensitive locations. Additional police personnel and snipers should be deployed at sensitive churches, while teams of Dolphin Squad, PRU, and Elite Force should ensure effective patrolling around churches.

He directed that deployed police officers and personnel should remain highly alert and keep a strict watch on miscreant elements. Search and sweep operations should also continue around churches, Christian localities, and sensitive places.
