ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s political committee Thursday appealed to all party workers and supporters to come out of their homes, vote for the ideology of Imran Khan, and exercise their right to vote in Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
“The public is requested to vote for the candidates of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and make real representation a success. The PTI will win with a huge majority in 19 constituencies, while it will continue to fully support its allies in the remaining four constituencies,” said a statement issued after the committee meeting.
It was stressed that the PTI stands against all kinds of rigging and will continue its struggle until true democracy is restored in the country. The meeting reviewed the current political situation in Gilgit-Baltistan, the electoral environment and pre-poll rigging were discussed in detail.
It was noted that the party leadership, parliamentarians and workers were prevented from entering Gilgit-Baltistan, NOCs were not issued and the PTI was deprived of the basic democratic right to campaign as per a plan. The political committee made it clear that all these measures fall under the category of open pre-poll rigging, which is aimed at removing the PTI from the electoral field.
