ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has “validated” the intra-party elections of Pakistan Muslim League Organisation (PMLO).
The electoral body issued a notification for issuance of a certificate, which reads, “… In pursuance of Sections 208 & 209 (3) of the Elections Act, 2017 read with sub-rule (2) of Rule 158 of the Election Rules, 2017 thereof: the Election Commission of Pakistan is pleased to publish for public information, the Certificate containing the information with regard to conduct of intra-party election held on 04.04.2026, the detail of election result along with copies of notifications showing the names, designations and addresses of the office bearers in respect of political party ‘Pakistan Muslim League (Organisation)’…”According to the notification and PMLO’s related party polls details, all the office-bearers have been elected unopposed.
Separately, the ECP issued a notification, enabling the election tribunal in Balochistan to adjudicate election petitions with respect to provincial assembly constituencies throughout the province of Balochistan, in addition to the National Assembly constituencies.
