LAHORE:Lahore Traffic Police has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a hospital in Harbanspura to provide healthcare facilities and medical discounts to traffic wardens and their families.

The agreement was signed under the initiative of CTO Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi as part of efforts to improve the welfare and healthcare support available to traffic police personnel.Under the agreement, traffic wardens and their family members will be entitled to a range of free medical services, including outpatient department (OPD) facilities, along with discounts on various healthcare services.

According to officials, traffic police personnel will be able to avail discounts of up to 45 per cent on laboratory tests and other medical services at the hospital's diagnostic facilities. In addition, each traffic employee will be eligible to obtain discounted medical tests for up to six family members.

The MoU also provides comprehensive support for the families of martyred, injured and financially disadvantaged traffic police personnel. Such beneficiaries will receive medical treatment and healthcare services free of charge, according to the agreement.

Duo held for staging fake robbery

Kahna police have arrested two men accused of staging a fake robbery and making multiple false emergency calls in an alleged attempt to misappropriate company funds.According to SP Model Town, the suspects, identified as Salman and Arman, were taken into custody after investigators found discrepancies in their claims of a robbery. Police said the suspects had reported through multiple calls that three armed robbers intercepted them at gunpoint and fled after snatching cash and phones.

Man’s body recovered from Ravi

Rescue 1122 divers recovered the body of a man from the Ravi River near Saggian Bridge.According to Rescue 1122, emergency services received a report regarding a body spotted in the river near the bridge.

A rescue team, including trained divers, was dispatched to the scene to carry out a retrieval operation.Rescue officials said the body was recovered from the river and brought to the riverbank before being handed over to police for further legal proceedings.
