PESHAWAR: In a ceremony held in Peshawar by the National Accountability Bureau, the services of senior journalist Arshad Aziz Malik of Jang and Geo News, who exposed the Kohistan scandal, were also acknowledged.
NAB Chairman Lt-Gen (R) Nazir Ahmed presented him with a special shield and a certificate of appreciation.It is worth noting that Jang, The News and Geo broke the story on 30 April 2025, reporting an alleged embezzlement of around Rs40 billion from government bank accounts in Kohistan. Following this report, the case gained national attention. Later, NAB launched extensive investigations, leading to large scale recoveries, freezing of assets, and multiple arrests.
