Central Park Intra Academy Football League concludes

LAHORE: The Central Park Intra Academy Sunday Football League 2026 concluded successfully after two months of competitive action, enthusiastic participation and strong community support, reaffirming the growing popularity of grassroots football within the Central Park.

Organised under the banner of Vision 2030, the league featured six teams across the Under-14 and Under-10 categories, with more than 60 young footballers displaying exceptional talent, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

The event highlighted Central Park’s commitment to promoting healthy recreational activities, youth development, and a vibrant sporting culture within the community.

The Under-14 final produced an exciting contest as CP Orange edged past CP Blue 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a closely fought encounter. Aariz, Hassam, Rehan Ahmed, Saif Ali, and Abdullah each contributed a goal for the victorious side, while Nouman Ali, Ayan Ali, and Abdul Mutaal found the net for CP Blue.

In the Under-10 category, CP Blue emerged champions after defeating CP Orange 3-2 in a penalty shootout following a goalless draw in regulation time. Essa Faisal, Anas Raisat, and Abdul Raffy successfully converted their penalties for the winners, while Zain-ul-Abidin and Abdul Moiz scored for the runners-up.

The closing ceremony was attended by chief guests Umar Majeed, Head of the Sports Committee, Nouman Akhtar, IT Head, and M. Kaleem, Sports Manager, who distributed trophies and awards among the participants and commended the young players for their outstanding performances.

Among the individual accolades, Taha Javaid was named Best Football Kid (U-14) of the Year 2026, while Essa Faisal received the Best Football Kid (U-10) of the Year 2026 award in recognition of their dedication, consistency, and exceptional performances throughout the league.
