KARACHI: Petroleum exports remained robust during the period from July 2025 to April 2026, with strong shipment activity recorded for fuel oil, naphtha and condensate products.

The latest export figures showed steady performance from the country’s major export terminals, including Keamari and FOTCO, despite challenges in the international energy market. High sulphur fuel oil (HSFO) remained the largest export product during the period. Total HSFO exports exceeded 1.22 million metric tonnes, reflecting continued demand in international markets. The highest export activity was recorded in August 2025, while October and November also remained strong months for shipments.

Naphtha exports also performed well during the reporting period. Pakistan exported around 134,658 metric tonnes of naphtha, with major shipments recorded in November and December 2025. Export activity continued steadily in the following months, reflecting stable regional demand.

Low sulphur fuel oil (LSFO) exports reached approximately 167,521 metric tonnes during the July-April period. Regular shipments from FOTCO highlighted Pakistan’s ability to meet evolving fuel quality requirements in international markets.

Very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO), considered a cleaner marine fuel, also recorded positive export growth. Total VLSFO exports reached nearly 59,620 metric tonnes. January 2026 recorded the highest shipment volume in this category, indicating growing opportunities for Pakistan in the cleaner fuel segment.

In addition, crude condensate exports totalled approximately 125,587 metric tonnes during the reporting period. Significant shipments were recorded in August, October and December 2025.Overall, Pakistan’s petroleum export sector showed resilience and operational stability during July-April 2025-26.Industry officials said the steady export performance reflected improved coordination among refineries, terminals, shipping operators and port authorities.
