HARIPUR: Madeeha Gohar, daughter of former Prison Department officer Taj Gohar Khan, has successfully defended her PhD thesis in Microbiology at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.

Talking to newsmen here, she said her doctoral research focused on gut microbiota, probiotics, and host-microbe interactions, contributing to advancements in biomedical and health-related sciences.

During her academic career, Dr. Madeeha, a member of one of the well-known families of Tarbela Dam affectees of Khalabat Township, earned recognition for her dedication to scientific research and innovation.

She gained valuable international research experience at the University of Minnesota, USA, and the University of Innsbruck, Austria, where she worked in collaborative and interdisciplinary research environments.
