In recent times, the growing reliance on artificial intelligence tools among students has become a matter of concern. In my own class, I have observed classmates submitting essays that are entirely generated by AI, with little to no personal input. This is not an isolated case but part of a broader trend. While such tools can be helpful for brainstorming ideas or organising thoughts, using them to complete entire assignments undermines academic integrity.
More importantly, it prevents students from developing essential skills such as critical thinking and writing. Educators should guide students on the responsible use of AI, ensuring it supports learning and does not replace it. Otherwise, we risk raising a generation that values convenience over competence.
