Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh on Thursday expressed serious concern over the worsening law and order situation in Karachi, warning that reports of traders once again receiving extortion slips were a “dangerous sign” and indicative of an organised attempt to destabilise peace in the city.
He said the inability of the Sindh police to provide adequate protection to the business community had deepened insecurity among traders despite Karachi’s central role in the country’s economy.
