Gold rates up Rs5,000 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices increased by Rs5,000 per tola on Thursday in the local market following an increase in the international market.

The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said that 24-karat gold rates reached Rs475,362 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs4,287 to Rs407,546.

Gold rates increased by $50 to $4,530 per ounce in the international market.

Typically, gold prices in the local market are adjusted by a premium of $20 against rates in the international market.

Silver rates increased by Rs60 to Rs8,034 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver rates also rose by Rs51 to Rs6,887.
