Rawalpindi : Metro Bus Service employees came out on the metro track in protest against the untimely dismissal of 200 employees of the metro bus service and non-payment of salaries for the last 2 months.
The employees blocked the track in protest, due to which the metro bus service between the twin cities has been completely disrupted, which has caused severe difficulties for students and working men and women during office hours.
For this purpose, all the dismissed male and female employees of the metro bus service gathered at the Potohar metro bus station on Monday morning and raised slogans against the metro administration. The affected employees claimed that the metro bus administration dismissed more than 200 employees from their jobs without notice.
The dismissal of these employees started from May 1, which is still ongoing, while the dismissed employees have not even been paid their salaries for 2 months (March and April). The protesters said that the contract for the metro bus service has been given to a new company, which dismissed the old employees as soon as they took charge and started hiring new employees, while the old employees were given the salaries of March and April.
