A man drowned while swimming in the sea during a family picnic at Hawksbay Beach on Friday. According to rescue officials, the incident occurred near Hut No 55 at Turtle Beach in the Hawksbay area, where he entered the sea for swimming but drowned.
Officials of the Edhi Foundation said their marine rescue volunteers rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident and recovered the body from the sea. The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Danish, son of Jami. His body was shifted to the Mauripur police station for legal formalities. Later, the family took the body home directly from the police station. The deceased was a resident of Qayyumabad.
