JazzWorld revenue tops Rs130bn

KARACHI: JazzWorld reported a 20.6 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in Q1 2026 revenue to more than Rs130 billion, driven by growth in telecom, digital financial services and entertainment platforms.

The company said telecom and infrastructure revenue rose 14.3 per cent to Rs82 billion, while digital revenue jumped 33 per cent to Rs48 billion, contributing 37 per cent of total revenue compared with 33.4 per cent a year earlier.

EBITDA increased 29.4 per cent to Rs58.5 billion, with EBITDA margin improving to 45 per cent from 41.9 per cent last year.JazzWorld invested Rs8.8 billion during the quarter to expand network capacity and strengthen digital infrastructure as part of its transition towards a digital service company.

The company’s subscriber base reached nearly 75 million, while 4G users rose 7.2 per cent to more than 57 million. Average revenue per user increased 19.4 per cent to Rs496.JazzCash monthly active users climbed to 29.2 million, while its gross transaction value surged 56 per cent year-on-year to Rs16.8 trillion as of March 2026.

During the quarter, JazzWorld also secured the largest allocation in Pakistan’s spectrum auction, acquiring 190 MHz spectrum, including the 700 MHz band, in a deal valued at $239.5 million to support future 4G and 5G expansion.
