The government of Pakistan has increased fuel prices as a result of the US-Iran conflict and the blocking of the Strait of Hormuz. Due to our heavy reliance on imported fuel, there are concerns that the energy crisis could put pressure on the Rupee and drain forex reserves.

Inflation has also been pushed back into the double digits. We need to increase our utilisation of renewable energy in order to avoid such energy shocks in the future.
