Education is considered as the foundation of any successful society but, unfortunately, in Balochistan, education is slowly becoming a business. Every year, there are huge increases in fees and other charges. This is particularly the case at private academies and school hostels. The true purpose of education is to support students and not to burden them under heavy fees. Despite the heavy increase in fees, there has not been a noticeable improvement in the facilities of many schools.
The government and education authorities should implement a proper fee structure. Education must be affordable and focused on learning rather than profit.
