PCJCCI leads delegation to China to boost healthcare cooperation

LAHORE: The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI), in collaboration with Hameed Latif Healthcare Group, has facilitated the participation of a 52-member Pakistani delegation at ASPIRE 2026 in China, in a move aimed at strengthening healthcare cooperation between the two countries.

A key highlight of the visit is participation in ASPIRE 2026, being held from May 7 to 10 at the China National Convention Centre. The congress, themed ‘Journeying the Silk Road of Reproductive Care’, has brought together global experts to exchange knowledge on advanced fertility treatments, reproductive technologies and patient-centred care models.

The delegation is being led by Haroon Latif Khan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Health Services at PCJCCI.Nazir Hussain, president of the PCJCCI, said the joint initiative with Hameed Latif Healthcare Group marked an important step in strengthening Pakistan-China cooperation in the healthcare sector. He said participation in ASPIRE 2026 would provide Pakistani professionals with access to global knowledge systems, advanced medical technologies and international institutional networks.

He added that such engagements were important for modernising Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure, improving service delivery and enhancing patient outcomes, particularly in specialised fields such as reproductive medicine.

Haroon Latif Khan said the participation offered an opportunity for Pakistan to align its reproductive healthcare sector with international standards. He said exposure to advanced assisted reproductive technologies (ART), clinical innovations and global best practices could help improve fertility care in Pakistan.
