LAHORE: The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have officially confirmed participation in a tri-nation One Day International (ODI) series to be staged in Pakistan later this year, with England also set to feature.
Sources disclosed on Wednesday that the tri-series is scheduled for October and November 2026, with arrangements now finalized. While the detailed schedule is yet to be announced, the confirmation from both England and Sri Lanka ensures Pakistan will host one of the most high-profile ODI events of the year.
Ahead of the ODI tri-series, Sri Lanka will also play a three-match T20I series in Pakistan, adding further excitement to the calendar. In line with the Future Tours Programme (FTP), Pakistan and Sri Lanka are additionally scheduled to contest two Test matches as part of the World Test Championship, making the tour a comprehensive multi-format engagement.
The tri-nation ODI series marks a major boost for Pakistan cricket, bringing together three competitive sides in front of home crowds. With England’s consent already conveyed and Sri Lanka’s participation now confirmed, the series is expected to draw significant international attention and provide Pakistan with valuable preparation ahead of global tournaments.
