State Life reports Rs26bn profit, declares Rs181bn bonus to policyholders

KARACHI: The State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC) reported a profit before tax of Rs26 billion for 2025 and announced Rs181 billion in bonuses for policyholders, according to a statement on Wednesday.

Total income stood at more than Rs640 billion, while premium income reached Rs289 billion. The insurer said it paid Rs224 billion in claims during the year. Assets under management rose to about Rs2.5 trillion, while new individual life business grew 32 per cent year-on-year to around Rs40 billion.

SLIC said the results reflect growth in its core insurance operations, supported by product changes and adjustments to its distribution network.
