Gas pipeline blown up near Sohbatpur

QUETTA: Unidentified armed men blew up a gas pipeline near Sohbatpur using explosive material, resulting in the suspension of gas supply to multiple areas of Balochistan on Tuesday.

According to the police, the incident occurred within the limits of Shaheed Malik Muhammad Ali police station near Sohbatpur. The attackers targeted a six-inch diameter gas pipeline passing under the Bahadur Ali Khoso Bridge in Bhand Sharif Goth and detonated explosives, causing significant damage.

Following the blast, gas supply was cut off to Sohbatpur, Fareedabad, Bhand Sharif, Jiani, Daulat Ghari, Hairdin, Chatan Patti, Dargai and hundreds of other rural and urban localities.

Upon receiving information, local police and security forces rushed to the site, cordoned off the area, and launched further investigations.
