LAHORE: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) continued its diplomatic outreach at the 76th FIFA Congress with a high-level bilateral meeting with Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) president Yasser Al Missehal.

PFF president Syed Mohsen Gilani, vice-president Hafiz Zakaullah, and Chief Operating Officer Shahid Niaz Khokhar represented Pakistan in discussions that underscored the deep-rooted ties between the two federations. Both sides agreed to hold a detailed follow-up meeting in Riyadh after the FIFA World Cup, with technical teams present to finalize cooperation frameworks.

The talks focused on women’s football development, youth pathways, and the potential inclusion of Saudi coaches in Pakistani youth setups—a move aimed at injecting top-level expertise into Pakistan’s grassroots system. Both federations reaffirmed their commitment to supporting each other across all levels of the game, reflecting the broader spirit of friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

This meeting adds to PFF’s growing list of international engagements in Vancouver, where the delegation has been actively pursuing partnerships to strengthen Pakistan’s football infrastructure and development programs. The Riyadh follow-up is expected to be a pivotal step in translating these discussions into concrete initiatives.
