ISLAMABAD: Several appointments and transfers have been made in the federal bureaucracy.
Federal Secretary for Maritime Affairs Division Zafar Ali Shah has been transferred and directed to report to the Establishment Division. Secretary Ministry of Education Nadeem Mahboob has been given the additional charge of Secretary Maritime Affairs Division.
Major General (retd) Muhammad Kashif Azad has been appointed Member of Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). According to the notification issued by the Establishment Division, after approval from president, the appointment will be effective for a period of three years or until he reaches age of 65, whichever comes first. The tenure will be counted from the date he assumes charge.
Joint Secretary IT Division Nazir Ahmed has been made an Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
According to orders regarding appointments and transfers in Police Service of Pakistan, BS-20 officer Muhammad Abdul Qadir Qamar has been transferred from FIA to Government of Punjab, while services of BS-19 officer Faisal Mukhtar, who was awaiting posting, have also been placed at the disposal of Punjab government. BS-19 Police Service officer Rana Umar Farooq, previously serving in Punjab government, has been posted to Islamabad Police.
