ISLAMABAD: The rupee on Thursday appreciated by three paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs278.77 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.8.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs279 and Rs279.8, respectively.The price of the euro against the rupee decreased by Rs0.49 to close at Rs325.69 from the previous day’s close of Rs326.18, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen remained unchanged and closed at Rs1.74, whereas the exchange rate of the British pound witnessed a decrease of Rs0.29 and closed at Rs376.09 compared to the previous day’s Rs376.38.The exchange rates of the Emirate dirham and the Saudi riyal declined by 01 paisa each to close at Rs75.89 and Rs74.32, respectively.
