ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lt-Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmed on Wednesday disclosed that the UAE government had been contacted for the extradition of property tycoon Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz wanted in the Bahria Town money laundering case.
Talking to reporters here, he said Interpol had issued red warrants for Malik Riaz and Ali Riaz. Gen Nazir said international legal proceedings were in motion to secure the arrest of both the accused in accordance with the law, with all procedural requirements being fulfilled.
“We are hopeful that both individuals will be arrested soon and brought back to Pakistan, and that the cases will reach their logical conclusion,” he said.
