ISLAMABAD: His Eminence Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church and Pakistan’s envoy for Russia Syed Faisal Niaz Tirmizi have expressed their resolve and dedication for maintaining a path of active cooperation and dialogue. In a meeting that took place on Wednesday both sides articulated their support for inter-nation harmony and tranquility among the societies.
Ambassador Tirmizi and Metropolitan Anthony exchanged views on the deep-rooted similarities between Islam and Orthodox Christianity, especially reflected in the shared values, views on the traditional family unity and moral and ethical upbringing of the younger generation.
