ISLAMABAD: An accused in a terrorism case registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act at CTD Police Station Quetta, and leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, Dr Maherang Baloch, has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Balochistan High Court seeking bail.
According to the petition, She contended that the provisions under which the case has been registered are bailable, adding that the allegations of violating the Fourth Schedule and facilitating a banned organisation are vague and general in nature, and no specific criminal act has been mentioned. She further submitted that, being a woman, she is entitled to special relief and bail under the law.
The court was informed that she has been in jail since August 21, 2025, and requested that the Balochistan High Court’s decision be set aside and she be released forthwith.
