New Punjab sports secretary takes charge

LAHORE: The newly-appointed Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fazlur Rehman assumed the charge of his office at the Punjab Stadium on Monday.

He was briefed about the ongoing development projects across the Punjab province. The officers of Project Management Unit (PMU) briefed the Secretary Sports Punjab about the 88 new sports schemes.

Additional Secretary Sports Punjab Shabbir Hussain Cheema, Director Youth Affairs M Fahad and Deputy Director Mirza Nadeem were also present on this occasion. Talking on this occasion, Secretary Sports Punjab said that top standard sports infrastructure is being laid across the Punjab province.

“Punjab Sports Department is striving hard for the promotion of sports culture in all parts of the province. All possible measures are also being taken for the growth of healthy sports activities among the younger generation”.
