With Pakistan experiencing intense heatwaves, rising temperatures and now the petrol crisis, students are being affected greatly. The impacts of climate change are becoming increasingly visible. It is time that we introduce courses on sustainable development in our education system to ensure that future generations understand this concept and are capable of implementing it.
Without this awareness, our current crises will only intensify. Students must be taught sustainable practices to help tackle these problems. Without immediate action, the situation may worsen in the coming years.
