A clinic in every town

The healthcare system in Balochistan is in a state of crisis. Despite being Pakistan’s largest province by landmass, Balochistan suffers from a critical scarcity of even basic medical facilities. While the population already faces numerous socio-economic challenges, the lack of accessible healthcare has created a life-threatening dilemma. Currently, patients from rural areas are forced to travel hundreds of kilometres to Quetta or Karachi for treatment.

This journey is not only a massive financial burden but is often fatal. Many lose their lives in transit during emergencies. Healthcare is a fundamental right that must be accessible in every corner of the province. I strongly urge the provincial government and the relevant health authorities to take immediate, concrete action to establish functional clinics in rural areas before more lives are needlessly lost.
