Karachi gas crisis

Karachi’s ongoing gas loadshedding has become a daily crisis, exposing serious flaws in energy management. Residents are forced to plan their lives around an unreliable supply, often with low pressure even when gas is expected, disrupting basic routines. Small businesses like restaurants and bakeries are also struggling, many turning to costly LPG, which raises prices for consumers.

While authorities blame the gap between supply and demand, the deeper issue is chronic mismanagement, including poor infrastructure, gas losses and delayed decisions. A lack of transparency further fuels public frustration, with unclear schedules and little accountability. Without urgent reforms and investment in alternative energy, the situation will only worsen, leaving ordinary citizens to bear the burden.
