JARANWALA: Deputy Drug Controller Sanabal Saleem conducted a crackdown on illegal and substandard medicines, raiding a shop allegedly operating under the name “Shafi Minyari General Store” and seizing a large quantity of unregistered and banned medicated creams along with Viagra.

The confiscated items were taken into official custody on the spot.

According to authorities, the shop was reportedly involved in deceiving citizens by selling unapproved products marketed for sexual enhancement, including potentially harmful medicated creams. The officials stated that a significant quantity of such items was recovered during the operation, describing them as dangerous to human health. Deputy Drug Controller Sanabal Saleem said that operations against elements endangering public health would continue under a zero-tolerance policy.

He added that strict legal action is being taken against violators without any leniency. He further emphasised that protecting public health remains a top priority and that enforcement against the illegal sale of medicines is being intensified. The citizens were also advised to avoid using unregistered or suspicious drugs and to report such activities to the relevant authorities.
