LAHORE: Qalandars will take on Quetta Gladiators in Match 30, of the Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 11) that reaches a crucial juncture with Lahore is set to hold matches at the Gaddafi Stadium, on Tuesday (today).

Both teams enter the contest under pressure but with different objectives — Lahore are seeking consistency after a turbulent campaign, while Quetta are fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The defending champions currently sit 6th on the table with three wins and four losses. Their campaign has been marked by inconsistency, including a collapse against Islamabad United where they were bowled out for just 100. However, they bounced back strongly against Rawalpindi Pindiz, posting 210/4, powered by Fakhar Zaman (84) and Mohammad Farooq (63).

Their two main players Fakhar Zaman with 179 runs is one of the top scorers of the tournament and similarly, skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi with 13 wickets is among the leading wicket-takers.

Apart from captain Shaheen Afridi, whose pace remains Lahore’s biggest weapon, their key playesr include Haris Rauf in the death overs, and Sikandar Raza in the middle order. The return of Fakhar Zaman after suspension is expected to stabilize their batting lineup.

Quetta are placed 4th on the table, also with three wins and four losses. Their batting has leaned heavily on Saud Shakeel and Hasan Nawaz, while their bowling has lacked consistency. They did, however, defeat Lahore earlier in the season by six wickets, with Rilee Rossouw (60) and Hasan Nawaz (49) leading the chase. Hasan Nawaz with 283 runs sits among the top run-scorer while Usman Tariq with 7 wickets is also top wicket-taker. However, concerns remain over their fragile top order and the fitness of pacer Ahmed Daniyal, who suffered a hamstring injury earlier in the tournament.

Lahore thrive at Gaddafi Stadium, backed by strong support and favorable batting conditions. Fakhar Zaman’s presence adds firepower and stability to Lahore’s top order. Quetta’s repeated collapses against pace make them vulnerable against Lahore’s attack of Shaheen, Haris Rauf, and Mustafizur Rahman. Quetta must win to stay in contention, while Lahore aim to secure a top-four spot with their superior net run rate.

Lahore Qalandars are favored with home advantage, while Quetta stand at around little probability with a small chance of a rain-affected no result. This encounter is expected to be high-intensity, with Lahore holding the edge, stronger bowling depth, and Fakhar Zaman’s return. Quetta’s hopes rest on Saud Shakeel anchoring the innings and their bowlers producing breakthroughs against Lahore’s aggressive top order.
