ISLAMABAD: The Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan (FCCP) will remain closed today (Monday) due to closure of the Red Zone.
According to a notification issued here on Sunday by the court it was stated that in consideration of the difficulties faced by learned counsel, litigants, and court staff, the chief justice has directed that all officers and members of staff shall perform their official duties from their respective homes.
Furthermore, all personnel concerned have been instructed not to leave their station (Islamabad) to ensure the smooth and continuous functioning of judicial business.
It was further stated that the branch registries of the court shall remain operational for the conduct of routine judicial work.
The cause list has also been suitably adjusted in accordance with the prevailing circumstances, says the notification.
The court remains committed to ensuring uninterrupted access to justice and the efficient disposal of cases despite the prevailing situation, it added.
