QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has said that the Balochistan Assembly is a fine blend of parliamentary traditions and provincial values, adding that opposition members have always demonstrated patience, tolerance, and high moral standards.

He expressed these views while speaking to members of the Balochistan Assembly opposition, led by Opposition Leader Younis Aziz Zehri.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the upcoming fiscal year’s budget, parliamentary matters, and development projects.

Both the government and the opposition agreed that priorities of the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the next financial year will be aligned with public needs and that only feasible development schemes will be included.

CM Bugti said that both the treasury and opposition benches are elected representatives of the people, and every positive suggestion in the public interest would be welcomed.

He further stated that mutual respect and brotherhood are traditions that distinguish the Balochistan Assembly from other parliaments, and the government values the opposition’s constructive and positive role.

Opposition members thanked the chief minister for his positive remarks and parliamentary conduct, saying that Sarfraz Bugti respects the constitutional and parliamentary sanctity of the opposition and accepts constructive criticism with an open heart.
