BARA: A jirga here on Sunday discussed the problems being faced by the displaced people from Tirah valley and the upper parts of the Bara tehsil of Khyber tribal district.

The tribal elders, who attended the jirga, demanded that the government ensure the dignified return of the displaced families hailing from the remote Tirah valley.The jirga was held in the Qambarabad area to discuss issues being faced by the displaced people.

The jirga asked the government to ensure the dignified return of affected families, address alleged anomalies in the registration process, and conduct a survey to assess the losses. The elders presented various proposals to address the challenges confronting the residents.

Addressing the jirga, the elders stressed that unity and mutual consensus were essential to resolve these issues, emphasizing that only collective efforts could lead to sustainable solutions.They urged the government to take practical steps to address the grievances of the internally displaced people (IDPs) and alleviate their hardships.
