KARACHI: foodpanda has partnered with Karachi Traffic Police to conduct a road safety workshop aimed at improving compliance and awareness among delivery riders.
The session, held at foodpanda’s head office, focused on educating riders about traffic laws and safe driving practices on the city’s congested roads.Participants were briefed on key safety measures, including mandatory helmet use for both riders and pillion passengers, maintaining bike fitness with proper mirrors and chain covers, and displaying original number plates.
Officials also highlighted risks such as overspeeding, one-way violations, and navigating blind spots of heavy vehicles. Special attention was given to preventing clothing-related accidents involving female passengers.
The workshop further introduced riders to the faceless e-challan system, underlining the growing role of technology in traffic enforcement.
