KARACHI: Sharif Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with Brazil’s Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira (CTC) to introduce advanced sugarcane technologies in Pakistan, the company said on Wednesday.

The partnership will focus on field trials of high-yield and disease-resistant sugarcane varieties, alongside the development of local research infrastructure and diagnostic tools for crop management.

CTC, a global leader in sugarcane biotechnology and breeding, will also support technical training and knowledge transfer under the agreement.
