LAHORE:The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) continued citywide cleanliness operations under its phased zero-waste drive.

A large-scale operation in Shalimar Town engaged over 1,100 workers and 110 vehicles to clear waste and improve sanitation. Key waste points are being cleared daily under special arrangements.

Director General Suthra Punjab Authority Babar Sahib Din said six identified hotspot areas in the town have been fully cleared, while door-to-door collection is being ensured through deployment of loader rickshaws.

The drive covered major localities, markets and roads, along with special cleaning around Shalimar Gardens, shrines and graveyards. Teams also remained active in several adjoining areas to maintain cleanliness.

Officials said the zero-waste initiative is being implemented across all towns of Lahore in phases, with sanitation measures extended to both urban and rural union councils. Citizens have been urged to report complaints through the Suthra Punjab helpline.
